Northern Gas Networks Improvement Works

Northern Gas Networks will be undertaking its gas reinforcement project, beginning Tuesday 3rd January 2023 and lasting approximately 16 weeks, working Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.

The works required are essential to reinforce the supply, giving a boost to the existing gas infrastructure in the area and will take place in Great North Road.

Church Lane Closure

From Monday 17th October 2022 to Friday 28th October 2022 Church Lane will be closed between its junctions with Ridge Road, Micklefield and Great North Road, Micklefield, for cable diversion works . The closure will be in place between 24hrs on each day. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

New Entrance Barrier at the Recreation Ground

On Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th June, contractors will be installing a new height restriction barrier at the entrance of the road to Micklefield Recreation Ground from Great North Road.
