The Parish Council presented Leeds City Council with its recommendations arising from the results of the Garden Village questionnaire. Unfortunately, some of the recommendations won't be acted on due to financial constraints and being outside the powers of Highways Services. Micklefield Recreation Ground Charity, in association with a group of dedicated volunteers, will be hosting a Boxing Day Charity Football Match again this year, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The event will take place on the morning of Saturday 26 December, at Micklefield Recreation Ground football pitch.

The Trustee gave permission to Micklefield Tenants and Residents Association (MTRA) to hold a 'Memory Walk' fundraising event in aid of Alzheimer's Society, which took place on Saturday 3 October. MTRA organised the event and provided insurance cover and refreshments.
