Summer Youth Activities 2018
Leeds City Council Youth Services has a range of activities planned throughout the summer holidays for 11 to 18 year olds. Local activity days are free and there is a small charge for trips. Please see the attached poster for more information.

Crime Reduction
Throughout May, there were a number of garage/shed break-ins and attempted break-ins in the Kippax and Methley ward. Please see the attached advice from West Yorkshire Police about securing garages and sheds.

Audit of Accounts
Yorkshire Internal Audit Services has undertaken the annual Internal Audit of the Parish Council's accounts for the financial year ending 31st March 2018, with no issues raised.

Level Crossing Proposed Closure Consultation
As part of its plans to upgrade the railway line, Network Rail proposes to close the level crossing and create and alternative route for pedestrians. Network Rail will be holding drop-in sessions at The Old Fire Station and Churchville House to discuss the proposals. Please see the attached notice for more information.

Telephone Scam
West Yorkshire Police are warning about a new telephone scam in which fraudsters pretend to be calling from the Telephone Preference Service in order to trick people into giving out their bank details. Please see the leaflet for more details.
