Micklefield Youth Activity Day

Leeds City Council Youth Services will be holding a free Youth Activity Day in Micklefield Recreation Ground, on Thursday 4th August, 12pm to 3pm. The event is free and is for 11 to 18 year olds.

Help for Community Groups

The Parish Council has donated £75.00 to Micklefield Tenants and Residents Association towards the cost of refreshments at MTRA's gala. The Parish Council also approved of a donation of £283.00 to the Community Defibrillator Responder Team for a Satnav and essential clothing.

Annual Audit

The Parish Council is preparing its annual accounts for the financial year ending 31st March 2016. In the first instance, the accounts will undergo an internal audit, undertaken by an independent and qualified auditor from Yorkshire Internal Audit Services. The Parish Council presented Leeds City Council with its recommendations arising from the results of the Garden Village questionnaire. Boxing Day Charity Match

Micklefield Recreation Ground Charity, in association with a group of dedicated volunteers, will be hosting a Boxing Day Charity Football Match again this year, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The event will take place on the morning of Saturday 26 December, at Micklefield Recreation Ground football pitch.

Alzheimers Charity Walk

The Trustee gave permission to Micklefield Tenants and Residents Association (MTRA) to hold a 'Memory Walk' fundraising event in aid of Alzheimer's Society, which took place on Saturday 3 October. MTRA organised the event and provided insurance cover and refreshments.
